ChapmanCG is incredibly proud of the five employees who participated in the ASEAN Para Games in Singapore, which took place from 3-9 December. All three of those who competed in the para sailing events won medals, including a gold for Jovin Tan in the Hansa 303 doubles, open category. Jovin previously made history, along with ChapmanCG crew member Yap Qian Yin, winning Singapore’s first gold medal at the Asian Para Games in Incheon, Korea last year. Jovin has qualified for and will compete in the Paralympic Games in Brazil in September 2016.
Other winners at the ASEAN Para Games included Yap Qian Yin, who achieved Gold in the Hansa 2.3 single, female category, as well as Glen Tan, who won Bronze in the Hansa 303, doubles, open category. Also participating in the games were ChapmanCG’s Ben Sim and Kumar Adiapatham, who competed in the shooting event, and Edwin Koh, as staff photographer for the wheelchair basketball at the indoor stadium.
“We are so proud of all of our employees who played a part in the Para Games, and we congratulate everyone on their efforts. Jovin’s victory and qualification for the Rio Games is excellent news, and we will support him all the way,” said CEO Matt Chapman. “These athletes all show such incredible determination and commitment to what they do, which also extends to their work lives. They are an example to all of us of what hard work and dedication can achieve.”
